Waterloo Technology Center, Waterloo, Wisconsin
Facility & Site Asset Management and Energy Modeling
CR-BPS was hired to complete an ASHRAE Level I energy audit and energy model of the Waterloo Technology Center in Waterloo, Wisconsin. The results of the energy audit and model were used to secure financing through the Wisconsin Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program for various building energy improvements. The Level I audit requires a preliminary energy use analysis as well as a walk-through analysis by an independent third party. This project was one of the first projects in Wisconsin and the first project in Jefferson County to utilize PACE financing.
In conjunction with the ASHRAE Level I audit, CR-BPS conducted a basic energy model of the Waterloo Technology Center to better understand the impact and savings of the Energy Conservation Opportunities (ECO) taken to this point and those planned in the future for the project. The energy model established an energy consumption baseline, calibrated to the current operation, and then compared that with the energy consumption after the planned ECO improvements.
